On July 13, Yevgen Kapinus attended the discussion panel “Ukrainian reforms: taxes and economy” which was organized by the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Yevgen Kapinus presented the views of the Ministry of Finance on changes in the tax system to MPs, business representatives and public. The aim of the changes is to simplify tax administration, to reduce state interventions in business and to create a favorable environment for business development.
The Deputy Minister of Finance told that the Ministry proposes changes necessary to settle the VAT refund issues. Thus, a single transparent register should be established and the system of electronic VAT administration should be improved.
The Ministry of Finance also proposes to implement a full-scale electronic taxpayer’s office as well as to enhance online services. It is also proposed to implement a one-level system for processing claims against SFS decisions. It shall make the claim procedure simpler for business and offer a better protection against illegal actions of the tax authorities.
Deputy Minister of Finance Yevgen Kapinus said in his speech: “Our key task is to reduce pressure on business and to ensure transparent cooperation between business and government. We are absolutely open for a dialogue with all stakeholders and pay attention to their opinions”.
Thus, the Ministry of Finance actively discussed all reform concepts with MPs, business, citizens and experts.
The discussion panel was also attended by MP Andriy Zhurzhiy, Chairwoman of the tax committees of the public councils at the Ministry of Finance and the State Fiscal Service Tetyana Shevtsova as well as experts Volodymyr Dubrovsky, Illya Neskhodovsky and Mykhailo Sokolov.
