The Ministry of Finance is ready to start a dialogue with entrepreneurs because it is only possible to build a prosperous country with joint efforts and cooperation. Deputy Minister of Finance Olena Makeyeva visited the Ukraine Crisis Media Centre at the press briefing, that was organized by the representatives of entrepreneurial community of the Ivano-Frankivsk region. The theme of discussion concerned obligatory use of cash registers by single taxpayers.
The Deputy Minister of Finance noted that by making the use of registers for payment transactions mandatory, the Ministry of Finance aims to de-shadow the business.
“By implementation of obligatory use of cash registers for business the Ministry of Finance does not seek to collect more taxes – we do not review rates. The philosophy behind this step is to establish control over cash circulation. It is a fiscal function, that is implemented in all countries of Europe,” Olena Makeyeva explained.
The Ministry of Finance understands that entrepreneurs perceive such steps ambiguously and is ready to cooperate and find effective solutions. Olena Makeyeva invited the business to start a dialogue, noting that she is ready to communicate with representatives of entrepreneurial community as much as needed in order to remove all problematic issues concerning the use of cash registers.
