Minister of Finance Oleksandr Danyliuk has started his official visit to Davos as a member of the Ukrainian delegation led by President Petro Poroshenko where he will attend the World Economic Forum.
During the Forum, the Ukrainian delegation will meet the heads of international financial organizations, representatives of global business and leading global investors. It is planned to discuss the reform process in Ukraine and its further cooperation with its international partners.
Oleksandr Danyliuk is also going to meet Pierre Moscovici, the EU Commissioner for Economic and Financial Affairs, Taxation and Customs, as well as Bill Morneau, the Minister of Finance of Canada, and Wopke Hoekstra, the Minister of Finance of the Netherlands.
The World Economic Forum in Davos is the biggest event of this type founded in 1971 and used as a platform for politicians, economists and businessmen from dozens of countries to discuss possible solutions to the acute problems of the global economy and to exchange experience. This year, the Forum will be attended by 3,000 participants from 119 countries.
