On November 22-24, Minister of Finance of Ukraine Oleksandr Danyliuk will be staying in Brussels with a working visit to attend the summit meeting of Eastern Partnership. The Minister of Finance will be part of the Ukrainian delegation led by President Petro Poroshenko.
During his visit, the Minister of Finance is due to have a meeting with Richard Shostak, Advisor to the President of the European Commission.
Also, Oleksandr Danyliuk will meet Vazil Hudak, Vice-President of the European Investment Bank (EIB) to discuss the progress of joint projects and the signing of new ones including agreements related to the project “Extension of the Thid Subway Line in Kharkiv” under which Ukraine will receive EUR 160 million.
Another point on the agenda of the visit is a meeting with Valdis Dombrovskis, Vice-President on the EU Commission for the Euro and Social Dialogue to discuss Ukraine’s compliance with the requirements needed to receive the next tranche of macro-financial support from the EU. Oleksandr Danyliuk is also due to meet Pierre Moscovici, European Commissioner for Economic and Financial Affairs to discuss the reform of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine.
As part of his visit, Oleksandr Danyliuk will also meet Johan van Overtveldt, Minister of Finance of Belgium. The two ministers will discuss steps to speed up amendments to the Agreement between the Governments of Ukraine and Belgium on the avoidance of double taxation and prevention of tax evasion as well as the use of Belgian experience for the reform of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine.
